Target Again

Went to Target again today, Perry dropped me off on his way to class and picked me up afterwards. It wasn't too exciting I got some more free cereal, a couple of baby bottles and a Glade scent warmer for less than a dollar. It killed some time, got me out of the house and I had a chance to really comb the aisles for any clearance bargains and I found nada!, I started my order on woot the other day for the iroomba robot and never finished it, went back that night and they were all sold out! They will hopefully have them again, I read their stats for that day and they sold over 4500 of those things, my loss. Alexis was supposed to perform at her first football game tonight and 20 minutes after she got there they cancelled the performance due to rain! First week of school is almost behind us and it was a good week for everyone. Everyone here is asleep including the puppies so I guess I will join them!

This is a favorite of mine, but I had never couponed at Target until yesterday. I went to www.hotcouponworld.com and clicked on Target, which takes you to a list of coupons that you can print. I never knew that you could do this so I printed 4 $1 off general mills cereal coupons, went to Target and got 4 single serve cereal cups for free! They have lots of baby product coupons on there as well. There store coupons can be combined with the coupons from the manufacturer as well, so there is a LOT of opportunity to save depending on just how far you take your couponing! Personally I am still trying to get my arms around the whole process.

Toot Toot for Woot

Ever been to www.woot.com it is one of the sites that I check every morning. They don't always have something that I want but I have price checked whatever they are selling and they always have a geat deal on whatever it is that they are selling. Another plus is that I like that it is normally one deal a day, so I don't have to check it several times to make sure I am not missing a deal. The shipping is always the same too, again a plus! Today they have the Irobot, it is a refurb but a great price and I have wanted to try one so I am going for it! Again I have researched and read boatloads of reviews on this product and for the price I think it is a good deal. Since I have primarily wood floors I think it is a good fit for me.

Coupons, Contests and Freebies

There are so many of them out there that it is crazy. I am going to start posting some of them on my blog but there will only be certain ones and hopefully they will not overwhelm anyone. Like I have tried to find certain tweeters that have consistently great deals etc to follow but I seem to grab some from several of them. Oh well I'm just trying to get in the game and fill some free time while the kids are at school. Multiple Sclerosis

I was diagnosed with MS in August of 2001, I think? I have never really been up for connecting with others who have MS, on line or any other way. I am hoping to change that now. As a 46 yr old woman who lives on disability and is limited in mobility it is time to talk with others who are in the same or a similar situation.

Monday, 8/24 School has Started

The bell has rung and everyone is back in school. I have 2 kids in high school how did that happen? A freshman and a junior, kind of freaks me out. David didn't feel good this morning, I hope he makes it all day. He chugged some Pepto and sipped some Canada Dry, so hopefully that will do the trick. Alexis looked very cute and Christine came over to ride to school with them and I took their picture. You know first day of high school picture, they will be glad I did it, well in 10 years they will be. I couldn't take Davids he just wasn't up for it, I hope he gets better as the day progresses. Alexis thought I would be lost without them at home, I didn't want to burst her bubble but having the house to myself and knowing that they are in school til 3:45 is feeling pretty good so far. Later on in the week I will probably start getting lonesome but not yet.

Countdown to School

Tis the night before school and all through the house not a child was heard.....Yeah! Sending everyone off to school in the morning, it will be a quiet day at home for me. I will probably be missing everyone by mid day. David is taking Alexis and 2 of her friends that live in the neighborhood to school in the morning, which I thought was very nice of him to do. The making of turkey sandwiches commences at 0700 so i better get to bed!

Couponing..It takes time....

People, I have been trying soooo hard to become a coupon queen! I read and follow all kinds of blogs on couponing and I check them day after day sometimes several times a day. And yet sometimes I still feel like I am drowning in deals that I can't quite capitalize on. I either don't have the right coupon or my printer messes up or I am just having a bad day. Today I did manage to get a deal at CVS, finally! And I really must share with you what I got, 2 Revlon eyeshadows, 2 Glade air sprays, 2 boxes of those Crystal Light flavor packs that you put in water bottles and a Glade candle and after coupons and my ECB's I paid .22 cents in cash! Yeah for me. I also refilled one of my prescriptions while I was there and got a 25 dollar gift card for trying out the pharmacy. So I did pretty good - huh?

Puppy Delivery

Lola delivered her last litter of pups last night! Her water broke at about 4:30 and she started having some mild contractions. Her timing was very bad as her mid-woof Alexis had to leave for dance rehearsal at 5! So her brother had to step in and try to fill her shoes and a fine job he did! The first little one arrived at 5:30pm, David helped her break the sac because we did that with her first 2 litters too. The 2nd puppy came at like 5:53 and then she took a break and didn't deliver her last one til 10:30. So we finished the night with 3 puppies; 2 females and 1 male.
